LG G Pad 8.3 svelato ufficialmente: è un G2 “maxi”

LG G Pad 8.3 è stato svelato ufficialmente dal produttore Coreano: dopo qualche settimana di speculazioni, ora possiamo finalmente scoprire quali elementi caratterizzano il nuovo tablet Android LG che cercherà di rilanciare l’azienda nel settore.

LG ha deciso di svelare a pochi giorni dall’apertura dell’IFA di Berlino il suo nuovo prodotto, probabilmente per puntare tutte le luci della ribalta su di lui, anche se l’ha fatto in maniera un po’ anonima. Nel bel mezzo della notte è stato divulgato un comunicato stampa che rende ufficiale il nuovo G Pad, ma non c’è stata alcuna conferenza stampa live, nè tanto meno sono stati riportati tutti i dettagli riguardanti il nuovo dispositivo.

LG G Pad 8.3: caratteristiche tecniche

LG G Pad 8.3 potremmo anche definirlo un LG G2 “maxi”: questo perchè esteticamente il terminale si presenta come una vera e propria versione ingigantita del nuovo top di gamma dell’azienda. Per quanto riguarda, invece, le specifiche tecniche, a far da padrone troviamo uno schermo con diagonale da 8,3 pollici e risoluzione Full HD di 1920×1200 pixel (273 ppi) ed un processore Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core da 1,7 GHz. Ovviamente, la CPU è affiancata dalla prestante scheda grafica Adreno 320 e da 2 GB di memoria RAM. C’è spazio anche per 16 GB di memoria interna (non espandibili tramite micro SD), una fotocamera posteriore da 5 Megapixel, un’altra frontale da 1,3 Megapixel ed una batteria da 4.600 mAh. Le dimensioni sono di 216,8 x 126,5 x 8,3 millimetri, il tutto per un peso di 338 grammi. A bordo troviamo Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean personalizzato da LG con alcune ottimizzazioni software per rendere migliore l’esperienza di utilizzo del tablet.

LG G Pad 8.3: prezzo e disponibilità

LG G Pad 8.3 sarà disponibile a partire dal Q4 2013 (Ottobre, Novembre e Dicembre) in Nord America, Europa ed Asia, in tinta nera o bianca, ad un prezzo ancora da definire. Ci aspettiamo, però, un prezzo orientativo fra i 399€ e i 499€, anche se non possiamo confermare nulla con certezza per ora. First Full HD Display Tablet in 8-inch Class
Incorporating a key attribute of other premium G Series devices including the G Pro and G2 smartphones, the LG G Pad 8.3 is the first 8-inch class tablet to offer a Full HD display. The LG G Pad 8.3 meets the demanding requirements of the convergence age by improving connectivity between multiple devices. With the unique QPair app, every call and message received on a smartphone will appear on the G Pad for a true convergence experience. Users can then send simple replies through the LG G Pad 8.3. QPair also allows the G Pad to easily connect to other manufacturers’ smartphone and tablets (Jelly Bean OS recommended). Notes created on the G Pad’s QMemo can be seamlessly saved into users’ smartphones and shared from either device.

User Experience Maximized for a Tablet
The LG G Pad 8.3 offers practical features that provide real-life benefits, such as enhanced multitasking. Thanks to its 8.3-inch Full HD Display, user experience (UX) features unique to the LG G Pad 8.3 are maximized for the large screen:

1. Slide Aside enables seamless multitasking by simply “sliding” currently open apps off to the side using a three-finger swipe
2. QSlide controls up to three different apps in one window with no interruption, especially convenient on a large screen
