Zelda, Mario e Horizon dominano le nomination a The Game Awards 2017

I titoli candidati come Game of the Year sono: “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” (Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Score/Music, Best Audio Design, Best Action/Adventure Game), “Horizon: Zero Dawn” (Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, Best Action/Adventure Game), “Super Mario Odyssey” (Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Score/Music, Best Audio Design, Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Family Game), “Persona 5” (Game of the Year, Best Art Direction, Best Score/Music, Best Role Playing Game) e “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds” (Game of the Year, Best Ongoing Game, Best Multiplayer).

Altre categorie sono Games for Impact, che premia il miglior gioco con una tematica sociale e che ha come candidati “Plase Knock on My Door”, “Night in the Woods”, “Life is Strange: Before the Storm”, “Se mi ami, non morire”, “What Remains of Edith Finch” e “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice”, Best Mobile Game (“Fire Emblem Heroes”,  “Super Mario Run”, “Old Man’s Journey”, “Monument Valley 2” e “Hidden Folks”), Best Handeld Game (“Poochu and Yoshi’s Wolly World”, “Monster Hunter Stories”, “Metroid: Samus Returns”, “Ever Oasis” e “Fire Emblem Heroes: Shadows of Valentia”) e Best VR/AR Game (“Superhot VR”, “Star Trek: Bridge Crew”, “Lone Echo/Echo Arena”, “Farpoint” e “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard”).

Andando ai premi per genere, oltre ai giochi già citati all’inizio concorrono a Best Action Game “Prey”, “Nioh”, “Cuphead” e “Wolfenstein 2”, a Best Action/Adventure Game, “Uncharted: L’eredità perduta” e “Assassin’s Creed: Origins”, a Best Role Playing Game, “South Park: Scontri di-retti”, “Final Fantasy 15”, “Divinity: Original Sin 2” e “Nier: Automata”, a Best Fighting Game, “Tekken 7”, “Nidhogg 2”, “Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite”, “Injustice 2” e “ARMS”, a Best Family Game, “Splatoon 2”, “Sonic Mania”, “Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle” e “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe”, a Best Strategy Game “XCOM 2: War of the Chosen”, “Tooth ant Tail”, “Total War: Warhammer 2”, “Halo Wars 2” e “Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle”, a Best Sports/Racing Game, “Project Cars 2”, “Pro Evolution Soccer 2018”, “NBA 2K18”, “GT Sport”, “Forza Motorsport 7” e “FIFA 18”. Come Best Multiplayer i candidati sono “Fornite, “Call of Duty: World War 2”, “Splatoon 2” e “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe”.

Infine, ci sono categorie per Most Anticipated Game (“The Last of Use Part 2”, “Red Dead Redemption 2”, “Monster Hunter: World”, “Marvel’s Spider-Man” e “God of War”), Best Indepent Game (“Pyre”, “Night in the Woods”, “Cuphead”, “What Remains of Edith Finch” e “Hellbalde: Senua’s Sacrifice”), Best Esports Game (“Rocket League,”, “League of Legends”, “Dota 2”, “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive”, “Overwatch”), Trending Gamer, Best Esports Player, Best Esports Team e Best Debut Indie Game.
