Sony: consumi aumentati per alcuni device dopo l’aggiornamento a KitKat
Di recente Sony ha rilasciato l’ultima versione di Android, KitKat 4.4.2, per i seguenti dispositivi: Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR ed Xperia Tablet Z. Sembra però che ci siano state eccessive lamentele da parte degli utenti che accusano un consumo eccessivo di batteria dopo l’aggiornamento a KitKat. Così il caso è stato analizzato con cura ed è emerso che è tutto fondato.
Infatti l’aggiornamento con build 10.5.A.0.230 ha interferito sul servizio Google Play Services aumentando notevolmente i consumi. Fortunatamente Sony Mobile ha già identificato e riconosciuto il problema, e tramite un comunicato ufficiale invita gli utenti a disinstallare l’ultima versione di Play Services ed attendere un nuovo aggiornamento da parte di Google.
L’operazione è molto semplice: vi basterà recarvi su Gestione Applicazioni, aprire il relativo servizio e tappare su Disinstalla Aggiornamenti. Fatto questo, non installate più la stessa versione e attendete un nuovo aggiornamento che in teoria dovrebbe risolvere definitivamente il problema, molto fastidioso. Di seguito il comunicato dell’azienda giapponese:
We have investigated the issue with Google Play Services using a lot of battery and we have identified that the root cause of this is related to the latest version of Google Play Services (4.4.52).
Until a new version of Google Play Services is provided by Google we urge users to either uninstall the latest update of Google Play Services (might limit use of Google Services like YouTube) or go to Settings > Google (accounts) > Ads > Tick the box for Opt out of interest-based ads and also disable back up of your data by going to Settings > Backup & reset (Personal) > uncheck the box for “Back up my data”.
If you are unable to uninstall the update for Google Play Services from Settings > Apps, go to Settings -> Security -> Device administrators and disable “Android Device Manager”. Also check the settings in the Play Store so that automatic updates is not enabled as this may update Google Play Services again automatically.
