Italian Video Game Awards: le candidature
AESVI ha presentato i videogiochi candidati (le nomination) per gli Italian Video Game Awards, precedentemente noti come premi Drago d’Oro. I giochi con più candidature sono The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (6 candidature), Horizon Zero Dawn (6 candidature), What Remains of Edith Finch (5 candidature) e Nier Automata (5 candidature) ma siccome è sviluppato in Italia segnalo un’importante presenza di Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (4 candidature).
Candidati come Game of the Year sono Assassin’s Creed Origins, Horizon Zero Dawn, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Nier Automata, Persona 5, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild , What Remains of Edith Finch e Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus. Apprezzo molto la presenta di Nier Automata, Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus e What Remains of Edith Finch tra queste candidature.
Candidati per Best Art Direction sono Cuphead, Horizon Zero Dawn, Nier Automata, Persona 5 e The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Per Best Game Design abbiamo Horizon Zero Dawn, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Nier Automata, Super Mario Odyssey e The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.
Per Best Narrative sono candidati Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice, Horizon Zero Dawn, Prey, What Remains of Edith Finch e Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus. Per Best Character abbiamo Senua di Hellade Senua’s Sacrifice, Aloy di Horizon Zero Dawn, Cappy di Super Mario Odyssey, Nadine di Uncharted L’eredità perduta e Blazkowicz di Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus.
Andando a un premio più tecnico, per Best Audio sono candidati Cuphead, Destiny 2, Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice, Nier Automata e The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.
Come Best Family Game i candidati sono Arms, Knack 2, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe e Sonic Mania. I candidati all’Innovation Award sono Arms, Hellbade Senua’s Sacrifice, PUBG PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Star Trek Bridge Crew e The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Come Best Indie Game abbiamo Cuphead, Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice, Pyre, Thimbleweed Park e What Remains of Edith Finch.
Best Mobile Game ha come candidati Fire Emblem Heroes, Framed 2, Monument Valley 2, Old Man’s Journey e Super Mario Run.
Best Evolving Game (un premio che, a differenza di quello che potrebbe sembrare dal nome, va al miglior DLC e non al miglior giocoservizio) potranno vincerlo Destiny 2 La maledizioni di Osiride, Final Fantasy Stormblood, Grand Theft Auto Il colpo dell’Apocalisse, Horizon Zero Dawn Frozen Wilds e XCOM 2 War of the Chosen. Per Game Beyond Entertainment abbiamo Bury me my Love, Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice, Last Day of June, Life is Strange Before the Storm e What Remains of Edith Finch.
Come Esports Game of the Year (il premio è promosso da Radio 105) sono candidati Counterstrike Global Offensive, Dota 2, League of Legends, Overwatch e Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. È utile notare che come accade anche in altri premi occidentali tra i candidati manca il videogioco competitivo più giocato in assoluto al mondo, Arena of Valor, anche se il gioco è ormai disponibile anche in Occidente e in Italia.
Arriviamo infine alle due sezioni dedicate ai videogiochi italiani. Come Best Italian Game sono candidati Don’t Make Love (e faccio i miei migliori auguri alla squadra di Maggese che si meriterebbe questo premio), Father.io, forma.8, Last Day of June e Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (sviluppato da Ubisoft Milano), mentre come Best Italian Debut Game sono candidati Downward, Father.io, GRIDD Retroenhanced, Laika 2.0 e The Wardrobe.
Gli Italian Video Game Awards saranno assegnati il 14 marzo 2018 in una cerimonia che inizierà alle sette di sera e sul sito ufficiale dell’evento potete contribuire dando il vostro voto per la categoria People’s Choice.
